Emerald Year Ushers in New Era: University Celebrates Staff Promotions and Welcomes VCAF Murphy Unaid

The University commenced the new year with an oath-taking ceremony held today, January 3, to honor the regularization and promotion of its administrative staff. The event also marked the formal installation of Mr. Murphy Unaid as the Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance (VCAF).

The ceremony took place at the Maas Kamlon Hall, where a total of 30 administrative staff members pledged their commitment to the University before the Chancellor.

In his address, the newly appointed VCAF, Murphy Unaid, expressed his dedication to his role. He stated, “I never envisioned myself in the position of Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance, but I believe my appointment is a testament to my hard work and sacrifices.”

The Chancellor warmly welcomed Mr. Unaid’s appointment, highlighting its significance in strengthening the University’s strategic financial planning system. She also encouraged the newly-promoted and regularized administrative staff to excel in their roles, expressing anticipation for the contributions of the first batch of newly-promoted and regularized staff.

Among the promoted staff was Ms. Jeffreylhada M. Noor, Chief of the Procurement Office to Supervising Administrative Officer. She expressed her gratitude to the Chancellor and the administration for recognizing her efforts with a well-deserved promotion.

“Our Chancellor’s influence extends beyond the tangible, inspiring us to strive for greatness. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to serve in this capacity, and I pledge to uphold the values instilled in us by our Chancellor,” she said.

The following 30 administrative staff members had their appointments approved by the Board of Regents, in accordance with CSC rules and regulations:

The recent regularization and elevation of 30 administrative staff members, together with the strategic induction of Mr. Murphy Unaid as Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance, herald a future abundant with potential.

The University eagerly awaits the cascade of contributions and groundbreaking innovations these individuals are primed to deliver.
