MSU TCTO Chancellor Recognized as the 1st Recipient in the Bangsamoro of AACCUP’s Highest Distinction
In recognition of excellence in quality assurance, University Chancellor Prof. Mary Joyce Z. Guinto-Sali, Ph.D. was conferred the Manuel T. Corpus Outstanding Quality Champion Award 2026, the highest distinction granted by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), during the 39th AACCUP National Conference and General Assembly held on March 24, 2026 at the Century Park Hotel, Malate, Metro Manila.

₱85-M Halal Research Center to Rise at MSU TCTO, Advancing Halal Innovation in the Bangsamoro
Strengthening its commitment to research, innovation, and community-responsive development, the Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) is set to establish a four-storey Halal Research Center with a total project investment of ₱85 million. The facility, which will have a 3,200-square-meter floor area, aims to serve as a hub for halal research, training, product development, and industry collaboration in the Bangsamoro region. Once completed, the Center is expected to support the growing demand for halal-certified products and services while advancing scientific research, professional training, and economic opportunities in the halal industry.
MSU TCTO, Wildlife Conservation Society Forge Partnership for Marine Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Development
To further strengthen research collaboration and community-based environmental action, the Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) and the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) formally sealed a strategic partnership to advance biodiversity conservation, marine protection, and community-based environmental initiatives in Tawi-Tawi and the broader Sulu–Sulawesi Seascape.
MSU TCTO CIAS Programs Granted COPC After CHED OPSD Central Evaluation
In its continuing pursuit of academic excellence and quality assurance, the Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) has secured Certificates of Program Compliance (COPC) for academic programs evaluated by the Commission on Higher Education Office of Programs and Standards Development (CHED OPSD) Central, particularly those under the College of Islamic Arts and Sciences (CIAS).
