New Law Building Rises at MSU TCTO, Honoring Mapupuno’s Legacy in Expanding Legal Education
Marking a significant milestone in advancing legal education in the Bangsamoro region, the Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) formally held the groundbreaking ceremony for its College of Law building, soon to be named the Sultan Basari Mapupuno Hall, on April 24, 2026, at the MSU TCTO campus in Sanga-Sanga.

BONGAO, TAWI-TAWI — Strengthening international collaboration and advancing inclusive development, the Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) welcomed H.E. Massimo Santoro, Ambassador of the European Union to the Philippines, for a high-level visit featuring dialogues on peacebuilding, education, and sustainable blue economy initiatives in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
MSU TCTO Strengthens Global Academic Linkages Through MOU Signing with Universiti Malaysia Terengganu
The Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) continues to advance its vision of becoming a leading institution of higher learning through meaningful international collaboration, as it formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) on April 1, 2026, at the Embassy of Malaysia.
MSU TCTO Chancellor Recognized as the 1st Recipient in the Bangsamoro of AACCUP’s Highest Distinction
In recognition of excellence in quality assurance, University Chancellor Prof. Mary Joyce Z. Guinto-Sali, Ph.D. was conferred the Manuel T. Corpus Outstanding Quality Champion Award 2026, the highest distinction granted by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), during the 39th AACCUP National Conference and General Assembly held on March 24, 2026 at the Century Park Hotel, Malate, Metro Manila.
