About ICIIE
The International Conference on Inclusive and Indigenous Education (ICIIE) provides a global space for dialogue on educational practices that embrace diversity and cultural identity. It highlights the role of indigenous knowledge and inclusive approaches in shaping just and equitable learning communities.
The College of Education (CoEd) of the Mindanao State University – Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU-TCTO) will launch the 1st ICIIE this 2025 with the theme, "Reimagining Education Leadership and Policy for Equity and Social Inclusion."

Hosted by the College of Education at MSU-TCTO, bringing together global expertise in inclusive and indigenous education.
Conference Objectives
Share research and innovations that advance inclusive education leadership, policy reforms, and practices responsive to the needs of marginalized communities
Foster dialogue and collaboration among education leaders, educators, researchers, policymakers, and students to co-create strategies for culturally sustaining and socially just education
Develop actionable recommendations and policy directions informed by diverse cultural perspectives and evidence to transform education leadership and policy
Serve as a platform for disseminating high-quality scholarship
Call for Abstracts
We invite scholars, researchers, educators, graduate and undergraduate students, education leaders, and policymakers to submit a 250-word abstract for an oral presentation addressing any of the following conference strands:

Inclusive Leadership in Diverse Contexts
Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Pedagogies
Equity in Access, Participation, and Outcomes
Teacher Education and Professional Development
Language Policy and Multilingual Education

Submission Policies
- Only abstracts are required for submission. Individuals may submit a maximum of one (1) abstract as primary author and one (1) abstract as non-primary author.
- Abstracts must not exceed 250 words (excluding titles, authors' information, and keywords).
- Submissions must clearly state the purpose, methodology, findings/expected results, and implications.
- Each submission must align with one of the conference strands.

We welcome submissions that explore diverse perspectives on educational equity, social inclusion, indigenous knowledge systems, and innovative pedagogical approaches that promote inclusive learning environments.

We offer different rates for Presenters and Non-Presenters, as shown below. Registration fees also cover meals during the conference (AM and PM snacks and lunches), a conference kit, the conference program, certificates, and access to all sessions, including parallel sessions.

- Regular: 3,000 PhP
- Graduate Students: 2,000 PhP
- Undergraduate Students: 1,500 PhP
Category 2: Non-Presenter
- Regular: 2,000 PhP
- Graduate Students: 1,500 PhP
- Undergraduate Students: 1,000 PhP
Note: Participants may join the excursion activity for an additional 500 PhP.
*Local Participants refer to those whose current institutional affiliation, at the time of the conference, is within the Philippines, regardless of citizenship.

Category 1: Presenter
- Regular: 100 USD
- Graduate Students: 75 USD
- Undergraduate Students: 50 USD
Category 2: Non-Presenter
- Regular: 75 USD
- Graduate Students: 50 USD
- Undergraduate Students: 25 USD
Note: Participants may join the excursion activity for an additional 15 USD.
**Overseas Participants refer to those whose current institutional affiliation, at the time of the conference, is outside the Philippines, regardless of citizenship.

Before filling out the registration form below, ensure you have paid the registration fee according to your participation category. If for any reason you are unable to attend the conference after payment of fees, please note that NO request for refunds will be entertained.

Send your payment through any Landbank physical branches.
Option 2: Electronic Transfer (Online Banking Portal, App)
Digitally deposit/transfer your payment to Landbank via an online banking platform (e.g., website, app). This excludes GCash.
Make sure to keep a record of your payment transaction (e.g., official receipt, email confirmation, screenshot with reference number and date/time).
Option 3: GCash
Transfer your payment via GCash. Transactions via GCash may be subject to a service fee.

The 1st ICIIE will be held at Mindanao State University – Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography, located at Sanga-Sanga, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi, BARMM, Philippines. Conference participants will gather at Bihing Tahik Resort, Brgy. Pahut, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi, and the MSU-TCTO campus.
Mindanao State University – Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU-TCTO) is an autonomous campus of the MSU System located in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi. Established in 1964 and granted autonomy in 1982, it has evolved into a leading state university in fisheries, marine sciences, oceanography, and education in the Sulu Archipelago.
