The College of Islamic and Arabic Studies launched Hijab Awareness Campaign with a short activity on February 1 at the Student Center. The activity aims to promote the importance of wearing hijab and raise awareness against Islamic radicalism and extremism. Chancellor Mary Joyce Guinto-Sali and College Dean Almira Hadji graced the activity and assisted the students in the proper way of wearing the Hijab.

Guinto-Sali signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the University and the Marine Battalion Landing Team 12 to conduct “Pagsumadja: Defending Peace and Sustaining Moral Governance through Islamic Teachings,” a fellowship program among local imams and gurus of Tawi-Tawi on January 30 at the Sabdani J. Advancing inter-agency collaboration for more responsive community extension programs, the Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) hosted a Joint Inter-Agency Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing with government agencies in Tawi-Tawi on August 27, 2026, at the Sabdani Bulante Conference Room, MSU TCTO, Sanga-Sanga, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi.

BARMM Turns Over Two New Student Residence Halls to MSU TCTO

BONGAO, Tawi-Tawi | July 6, 2026 — The Ministry of Public Works (MPW)–Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), through the Tawi-Tawi District Engineering Office, formally turned over two newly constructed student residence halls to the Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) during a ceremony held on July 6, 2026, at the University grounds.

MSU TCTO and PCID Sign MOU for Diploma in Women, Peace, and Security

Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) and the Philippine Center for Islam and Democracy (PCID) formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on June 25, 2026, at the Sabdani Bulante Hall, MSU TCTO, to support the implementation of the Diploma in Women, Peace, and Security.
