MSU-TCTO Celebrates Faculty Promotion and Leadership Milestone on Chancellor's 8th Anniversary Today, March 27, 2025, the University held a significant event at the Maas Kamlon Hall to mark the oath-taking ceremony of its newly promoted and regularized faculty members. The occasion was made even more special as it coincided with the 8th Anniversary of Chancellor Mary Joyce Z. Guinto-Sali’s remarkable tenure as the 4th Regular Chancellor of MSU-TCTO, highlighting her remarkable leadership and dedication. Adding to the celebration, the program featured the distribution of laptops, further underscoring the University’s steadfast commitment to empowering its faculty and advancing education, research, and innovation. In her report today, Chancellor Guinto-Sali proudly shared the accomplishments of the University for the past 8 years, highlighting quality assurance, research, and internationalization that have made great strides in positioning MSU-TCTO on the global map. She also expressed her appreciation and gratitude for the collective dedication, hard work, and resilience of every individual who has contributed to the success of the University.

"As we embark on these exciting changes, I urge each one of you to remain steadfast in your commitment to our beloved MSU-TCTO. Let us continue to pour our passion, dedication, and hard work into building an institution we can all be proud of," said the Chancellor.

"Our efforts today are laying the foundation for an MSU-TCTO that will shine as a beacon of excellence, not only for Tawi-Tawi but for the entire nation."

"Let us continue to move forward together, united in our mission to create a Dakilang Pamantasan that will continue to serve our community and the generations to come," the Chancellor said as she ended her speech.

As the backbone of the University, two (2) newly promoted faculty members from the College of Education and Integrated Laboratory School delivered heartfelt messages of gratitude to the administration. In their inspiring speeches, Assoc. Prof. Efren Y. Tangon, PhD, and Assoc. Prof. Paramisuli T. Amin expressed profound appreciation for their promotions, acknowledging the support and trust of the University. They also highlighted the vital role of teachers, emphasizing the transformative impact of education and their dedication to shaping the next generation.

During the program, faculty members from the different colleges and units formally received their brand-new laptops. These included the College of Fisheries; COED - Integrated Laboratory School; College of Arts and Sciences, along with its Extension Units in Ungus Matata, Mapun, and Sibutu; Institute of Information and Communications Technology; College of Education; College of Islamic and Arabic Studies; and the Institute of Oceanography and Environmental Science.

The event not only celebrates the Chancellor's remarkable 8-year leadership, but also highlights the University's dedication to fostering a supportive environment for its educators and aligning its efforts with the broader goals of innovation, research, and quality education. This is a significant step toward building a brighter future for MSU-TCTO, its community, and the generations it aims to serve.
