Laptop Distribution and ICT Literacy Training

On April 12–14, 2025, the MSU TCTO distributed the 47 laptops for the faculty members of the MSU TCTO Community High School: 15 for Sibutu Junior High School, 12 for Tandubanak Junior High School, 14 for Sitangkai Junior High School, and 6 for Larap Junior High School. This event was initiated by the supportive Chancellor, Prof. Mary Joyce Z. Guinto-Sali, Ph.D., and the ICTO Director, Assoc. Prof. Charisa F. Llema-Abalie, spearheaded by the Assistant Vice Chancellor for SED, AVC Jamaluddin Sala. The faculty received Dell Inspiron 15 laptops with the following specifications: Intel Core i5 (12th Gen) processor, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 512GB SSD storage, a 15.6" Full HD anti-glare display, integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics, and Windows 11 Home operating system. The device also features up to 7 hours of battery life and has modern connectivity options including Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, USB 3.2, USB-C, HDMI, and an SD card reader. On the first day, the SED team led the distribution of the laptops to the faculty members of each JHS, and the ICT team led the activation of the Microsoft Office 365 Accounts of the faculty members. This is the breakdown of the laptop distribution for each Junior High:

MSU TCTO Larap Junior High School On the second day, the ICT Literacy Training started with the ICT team introducing Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet. Starting with Microsoft Word, Engr. Jul-Habir Kali shared his knowledge on using MS Word for Beginners. Followed by the Microsoft PowerPoint, Romeo Pañares presented on how to use the PowerPoint in making lectures in presentations. After using the basic MS Word and PowerPoint, Director Charisa F. Llema-Abalie showcased a meeting virtually using Microsoft Teams, and lastly, Micho Robledo showed how to use Google Meet. All trainers and resource speakers came from the ICTO and IICT.
