TRAC, MSU-TCTO Forge Academic Partnership Through MoU Signing

The Tawi-Tawi Regional Agricultural College (TRAC) and the Mindanao State University - Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU-TCTO) have officially entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in academic excellence, research productivity, and inclusive development in Tawi-Tawi. The signing ceremony was held on May 20, 2025 at the Sabdani Bulante Hall, marking a significant milestone in inter-institutional cooperation.

The agreement outlines commitments from both institutions to enhance academic collaboration, training and capacity building, and access to facilities and resources. Through this partnership, TRAC and MSU-TCTO aim to foster institutional linkages by conducting joint activities in teaching, research, training, and community engagement.

During the ceremony, TRAC President Dr. Sitti Amina J. Mohammad expressed gratitude for the collaboration, emphasizing the value of strong partnerships in advancing education and development in the region. She remarked, "This MoU is a testament to the power of collaboration. The Mindanao State University – Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) has achieved a notable accomplishment in its debut participation in the 2025 UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, placing 1,411th globally among institutions recognized for their commitment to sustainability. Nationally, MSU TCTO ranked 78th among Philippine universities, and notably, it emerged as the first and only institution in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) to be included in this global sustainability assessment.
