The Mindanao State University – Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Bangsamoro Human Rights Commission (BHRC) on July 30, 2025 at Sabdani J. Bulante Conference Hall, MSU TCTO, Sanga-Sanga, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi.

The partnership formalizes the shared commitment of MSU TCTO and BHRC to promote and protect human rights in the Bangsamoro region through collaborative initiatives in research, education, and community engagement.

The MOU signing was attended by officials of MSU TCTO, led by Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mary Joyce Z. Guinto-Sali, and BHRC officials headed by Chairperson Atty. Abdul Rashid P. Kalim.

This collaboration reinforces MSU TCTO’s mandate as a public university committed to advancing peace, justice, and strong institutions in the Bangsamoro region, fully aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).
