MSU-TCTO Strengthens ICT Education in Mapun Junior High School

Mindanao State University – Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU-TCTO) continues to enhance digital literacy in Mapun Junior High School. On May 14, 2025, MSU-TCTO distributed 17 Dell Inspiron 15 laptops to the school’s faculty to support modern teaching and learning. Each unit is equipped with a 12th Gen Intel Core i5 processor, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 512GB SSD, and runs on Windows 11 Home. With a 15.6” Full HD anti-glare display, Intel Iris Xe graphics, and up to 7 hours of battery life, the laptops offer seamless performance and reliable connectivity through Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, USB 3.2, USB-C, HDMI, and an SD card reader.

To further empower educators, an ICT Literacy Training was held from May 17–18, covering topics such as Cybersecurity, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Teams. The training was facilitated by Jhon Michael Vincent F. Fu from ICTO and Estelita Cheng Lim from IICT, equipping participants with essential digital skills for both academic and administrative use.

This initiative was made possible through the leadership of Chancellor Mary Joyce Z. Guinto-Sali, Ph.D., and was spearheaded by Prof. Jamaluddin S. Sala, MPA, MoP, with support from Assoc. Prof. Charisa F. Llema-Abalie, MSIT. MSU-TCTO remains committed to advancing technology-driven education and empowering educators across its community schools and beyond.
