MSU-TCTO Dolphins Make Waves at 7th MSUSAA Unity Games

The MSU-TCTO Dolphins secured the fifth spot in the recently concluded 7th Mindanao State University System Athletic Association (MSUSAA) Unity Games, held at MSU-General Santos City from May 31–June 5, 2024. The six-day sports event commenced with an opening parade featuring athletes, coaches, officials, and sports directors from 12 different MSU campuses namely; MSU Gensan, MSU Iligan, MSU Marawi, MSU MSAT, MSU Sulu, MSU Tawi-Tawi, MSU Maguindanao, MSU Buug, MSU Naawan, MSU LNCAT, MSU Sindangan, and MSU LNAC. A total of 80 delegates represented the institution, including 61 athletes and 19 officials. The athletes competed in various sports such as basketball, volleyball, lawn tennis, athletics, chess, table tennis, beach volleyball, and sepak takraw. The Dolphins brought pride to TCTO by winning several medals: Silver in Lawn Tennis, Silver in Men's Beach Volleyball, Bronze in Sepak Takraw, Gold and Bronze in the 100 Meter Dash Athletics, and Bronze in the 200 Meter Dash Athletics. The unwavering support and dedication of the sports officials, who provided exceptional training, guidance, and motivation to the athletes, ensuring their success and fostering a spirit of teamwork and excellence, made the said achievements possible. MSU TCTO CIAS Programs Granted COPC After CHED OPSD Central Evaluation

In its continuing pursuit of academic excellence and quality assurance, the Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) has secured Certificates of Program Compliance (COPC) for academic programs evaluated by the Commission on Higher Education Office of Programs and Standards Development (CHED OPSD) Central, particularly those under the College of Islamic Arts and Sciences (CIAS).

The MSU Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Local Government Units of Simunul, Panglima Sugala, Sibutu, South Ubian, Bongao, Tandubas, and Sitangkai on December 17 at the Conference Room, Sabdani J. Bulante Building. The agreement formalizes a collaborative partnership in support of marine biodiversity conservation and fisheries management in the Province of Tawi-Tawi.

MSU TCTO Ranks Among UI GreenMetric Universities, Leading BARMM in Sustainability

The Mindanao State University – Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) has achieved a notable accomplishment in its debut participation in the 2025 UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, placing 1,411th globally among institutions recognized for their commitment to sustainability. Nationally, MSU TCTO ranked 78th among Philippine universities, and notably, it emerged as the first and only institution in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) to be included in this global sustainability assessment.
