MSU Tawi-Tawi expresses its sincerest gratitude to Hon. J. Prospero "Popoy" De Vera for his dedicated service and commitment to advancing higher education in the Philippines as the Chairperson of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

Throughout his tenure as CHED Chairperson, Chair Popoy championed transformative policies that expanded access, strengthened institutional quality, and empowered countless Filipino learners. His leadership in implementing the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act (RA 10931) has made a lasting impact on the academic landscape, ensuring that education remains a right, not a privilege.

We honor his vision, dedication, and tireless efforts in shaping a more inclusive and progressive higher education system. As he steps into new endeavors, MSU Tawi-Tawi remains grateful for his contributions, recognizes his transformative leadership and steadfast dedication to academic excellence, and wishes him continued success in his future pursuits.
