The MSU-Tawi-Tawi recently had a formal groundbreaking ceremony for several noteworthy projects. The projects include the construction of the Sulu Archipelago Institute for Language and Cultural Heritage (SALI) Building, as well as the establishment of the offices for the Campus Registrar, Admissions, and Scholarships. At the occasion, the plan to install the steel letter name of Miraflor T. Alih Hall, embellished with the CAS Logo, was also revealed.
The Ministry of Public Works will undertake these next projects, which will be supported and funded by the Bangsamoro Government through the initiative of Member of the Parliament Eddie M. Alih.
In his address, former Chancellor MP Alih expressed his desire for the cherished Institution's heritage to persist for centuries.
"These projects are not merely structures; they are legacies of our shared dedication to education and cultural preservation. My 15 years as Chancellor were marked by the pursuit of excellence, and I am confident that under the leadership that follows, MSU-TCTO will continue to thrive and inspire."
MP Alih praised the current administration for its steadfast dedication to achieving high academic standards and innovative leadership that consistently motivates advancement and fosters a flourishing academic atmosphere.
"Under her guidance, MSU-TCTO has flourished, navigating challenges with resilience and steering the institution towards new heights of success. Chancellor Sali's vision and dedication have undoubtedly played a pivotal role in the realization of these projects."
Chancellor Mary Joyce Z. Guinto-Sali, in her message, conveyed her appreciation for the ongoing blessings bestowed upon the University and extended gratitude to MP Alih for the support provided to the initiatives.
"Many good things are due to happen in our 55th Charter Year. It is only January, but so much has happened since 2024 began. Let’s do our best, work harder, and remain true to our oaths as loyal workers of the government. Thank you so much Regent MP Eddie Alih, the Bangsamoro Government, and to all those who made this possible."
The groundbreaking ceremony launched several MSU-TCTO constituent-benefitting initiatives. The SALI Building and other projects show the University's commitment to education and cultural preservation.
