Chancellor Guinto-Sali, TCTO, and NRK Honored at MANGgagawa Awards 2025 MSU-TCTO, Nutriskwela Radyo Kasannangan, and Chancellor Mary Joyce Z. Guinto-Sali were honored and received recognition for the fifth time during the 5th MANGgagawa Awards: Gabi ng Parangal at Pasasalamat held at the Datu Amirbahar Jaafar Convention Center.

Hosted by the Provincial Government of Tawi-Tawi, the award-giving event was established to honor and recognize the contributions of various individuals and organizations to Tawi-Tawi's quest for peace, advancement, and development. The event celebrated line agencies, including security forces, national and regional agencies, institutional and civic organizations, and individuals. Chancellor Mary Joyce Z. Guinto-Sali was one of the distinguished awardees in the Individual category.

In her statement, Chancellor Guinto-Sali expressed that recognizing the efforts of various individuals will provide greater inspiration to the community. MSU Tawi-Tawi pledges to continue supporting the provincial government's initiatives, especially in taking significant steps to appreciate the efforts of the 'GOByernong KaSALI ang Lahat' program.

This recognition underscores the university's significant contributions to the province's progress and its commitment to supporting the community and the provincial government's endeavors. This collective effort demonstrates a unified drive towards a brighter and more prosperous future for Tawi-Tawi.

MSU TCTO Ranks Among UI GreenMetric Universities, Leading BARMM in Sustainability

The Mindanao State University – Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) has achieved a notable accomplishment in its debut participation in the 2025 UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, placing 1,411th globally among institutions recognized for their commitment to sustainability. Nationally, MSU TCTO ranked 78th among Philippine universities, and notably, it emerged as the first and only institution in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) to be included in this global sustainability assessment.
