Academic Excellence Spotlight: CIAS’ Jikiri Leads TCTO Chancellor’s Listers

To celebrate the outstanding academic achievements of students for the 1st semester of the Academic Year 2024-2025, the Crème de la Crème Program honored 46 Chancellor’s Listers on April 3 at the Maas Kamlon. Leading the honorees was Ms. Mudzna Q. Jikiri from the College of Islamic and Arabic Studies with a GPA of 1.03. As a Bachelor of Science in Teaching Arabic student, Ms. Jikiri embodies resilience and determination, overcoming challenges of her humble upbringing and identity as a balik-Islam while pursuing her academic journey. “I persevered with beautiful patience, remembering the wisdom of turning life’s lemons into lemonade. Despite these challenges, I persevered, driven by my passion for education and my desire to become a teacher and to pursue the dreams my parents couldn’t achieve,” said the Chancellor’s Lister. Chancellor Mary Joyce Z. Guinto-Sali graced the event and delivered a message. She encouraged the awardees to apply the knowledge they gained with relevance and perspective and to remain humble and diligent as they continued their academic and personal endeavors. The Chancellor's Listers received a certificate, a medal, and cash incentives of P1,000. MSU Tawi-Tawi remains steadfast in its commitment to academic excellence, continually creating opportunities that empower students and enrich their learning experiences.
