In its continuing pursuit of academic excellence, quality assurance, and institutional development, the Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) has achieved another significant milestone after securing 100% Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) status for all its undergraduate degree programs.

This achievement was completed with the issuance of the COPC for the Bachelor of Science in Computer Applications (BSCA), signed by CHED Chairperson Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis. The BSCA program was evaluated by the CHED Technical Panel for Computing and Information Technology, the Office of Programs and Standards Development (OPSD), and CHED Regional Office IX, with effectivity beginning Academic Year 2025-2026.

With the approval of BSCA as the last undergraduate program evaluated by CHED, MSU TCTO has now attained full COPC compliance for all its undergraduate program offerings. This achievement also recognizes the important role of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), CHED OPSD, CHED Technical Panels, CHED Regional Office IX, and the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MBHTE-BARMM) in strengthening quality assurance and higher education standards.

In a statement, University Chancellor Mary Joyce Z. Guinto-Sali described the achievement as a testament to the University's collective commitment to quality education and continuous improvement.

"Achieving 100% COPC compliance across all undergraduate programs reflects our unwavering commitment to providing quality, relevant, and responsive education to our students. This milestone is the result of the dedication and hard work of our faculty, staff, administrators, and partners who continue to uphold the highest standards of academic excellence. More importantly, it strengthens our mission of creating opportunities and transforming lives for the people of Tawi-Tawi and beyond," Chancellor Guinto-Sali said.
